Food that helps live healthier and longer Part1 of 4

1Garlic, the  super food and protector of the cardiovascular system.
here are hundreds of scientific studies on the subject. It is common knowledge this food has a very beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system. But that’s not all !The benefits of garlic have been known since antiquity.

More than 4000 years ago it was used by Egyptians to treat hypertension and headaches. Today its antimicrobial and antibacterial actions are known to be very beneficial to the human body, helping it to age well. It is antibacterial, thanks to allicin, antiseptic thanks to phenolic acids, antioxidant thanks to flavonoids, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial. It also helps a good digestion by taking care of the intestinal flora thanks to the inulin it contains, a natural prebiotic. Finally, vitamins A, B, C and E make it a booster of the immune system.It also protects against digestive cancers and contains vitamins A, B, C and E that strengthen the immune system. 
Garlic can be consumed daily! It is better to eat it raw or at least add it at the very end of cooking so that it retains a maximum of its properties. For those who are afraid of the breath effect, To avoid bad breath after eating garlic, you can let it marinate in olive oil and confit it as good alternatives


2Dark chocolate, the gourmet antioxidant
Unfairly bannished from diets (t
oo sweet, too fat, too much bitterness for a 100 % coca beans) dark chocolate is fantastic for your health! Recently, a study by Harvard University concluded that consuming dark chocolate boosts life expectancy. Indeed, this food is rich in flavonoids, antioxidants beneficial for the cardiovascular system. It softens arteries.
Of course, as for each food one must be reasonable and avoid abuse. Chocolate is indeed one of the most caloric foods. A daily consumption of 2 squares is sufficient (approx. 10g/0.35oz either alone or as an accompaniment of a cup of tea/coffee). Prefer a 100 % for a total health benefit. For those who don’t like the bitterness of a 100 % take a dark chocolate between 80 and 100 % (not less). A 100 % cocoa bean dark chocolate is and excellent source of magnesium and this food strongly influences our moods. It is good against stress and anxiety.Multiple studies confirm that this mineral is a major element in the prevention of the negative consequences of stress.  If needed please let me know if you want a more detailed post on its positive effects on our health (It is not every day that one find a sweet food good for health !)

3Olive oil, anti-aging properties
In the Mediterranean cuisine, olive oil accompanies all good dishes. Good, because it increases longevity! It contains oleic acid, which lowers the level of bad cholesterol in the blood. Rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, this oil hydrates the skin and slows down its aging. it contains polyphenols with strong antioxidant properties. Its compounds help fight the formation of excess free radicals. Though it is a fat and a good tip is to use a spray for your salads for example.

Efficient Sport Rules and workout for a sustainable Health improvement

Outdoor sport

Efficient sport rules are necessary for a sustainable health . Workout and sport activities from time to time are not enough to improve health. No need to do long sessions and everyone can have access to a sport activity whatever his situation. Whether you are retired, workman, executive, home and even in the context of a very dense life it is possible (transport, work, accompaniment of children’s schoolwork etc …). It takes 30 minutes of efficient sport every day and it’s not necessary to do more -except if you can- but beware of respecting your state of health (age, weight, medical contraindications etc…) Please see your doctor for appropriate advice( generalist practitioner, cardiologist, nutrionist …). 30 minutes and NOT LESS !

Efficient sport means 30 mn with short rest (i.e : less than 1 mn between 2  exercises and a maximum of 1 mn between 2 repetitions. In the sport category we will have some proposed workouts to do).

Why ? because the first 20 minutes are used to burn the sugar consumed. The next 10 tackle fats. The effects of these 30 minutes of activity last a day. It’s like taking a treatment that needs to be renewed after 24 hours. It sounds weird ? Why ? Why shall we accept to use a chemical medecine which we know acts against a disease but with multiples secondary effects though we respect the dosage by following the treatment ? So for more beneficial reasons it’s the same process for a healthy treatment : Renew it each day when its effects disappear. It is one of the MOST EFFICIENT ways to sustainably improve our health. Obviously, practicing sport without a healthy diet is like hiking and smoking at the same time : it minimises or even remove the benefits. In the healthy food category we’ll see how to enhance and maintain our healthy garden with healthy food and cooking. I hope this article is helpful.
